NormanMax, the expansive US based parametric insurance and reinsurance group with a pure-parametric syndicate at Lloyd’s, has hired reinsurance and retro broking specialist Nick Griffiths to take on the role of Chief Revenue Officer, working across all the firms’ platforms.

nick-griffiths-normanmaxNormanMax Insurance Holdings has been growing at pace since its launch in 2023 by Bradley Meier, an executive with a pedigree earned from founding Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company and its holding company, Universal Insurance Holdings (NYSE: UVE), as well as co-founding parametric specialist MGA New Paradigm.

Since launch, NormanMax has established its own syndicate at Lloyd’s in 2024, the first pure-parametric play in that key insurance and reinsurance marketplace, and expanded its product offering beyond parametric peak catastrophe risk solutions more deeply into climate and weather risk transfer as well.

Now, the company has made another key hire, in bringing on experienced senior reinsurance and retrocession broker Nick Griffiths as its Chief Revenue Officer.

Bradley I. Meier, Chief Executive Officer, NormanMax Insurance Holdings, told us, “We’re thrilled to welcome Nick to NormanMax as our Chief Revenue Officer. His deep expertise across reinsurance, retrocession, and parametric risk transfer makes him uniquely suited to help accelerate our global growth.

“Nick’s ability to bridge traditional and alternative markets, combined with his long-standing relationships in the Lloyd’s and ILS ecosystems, will be instrumental as we expand the NormanMax platform across insurance, reinsurance, and capital markets.”

Griffiths has had a more than 27 year career in reinsurance broking, beginning with an 11 year stint at Gallagher, before moving onto London based specialist RFIB where he became the Head of Broking for the reinsurance division.

In 2019, Griffith joined Howden as an executive director in its reinsurance broking division.

Then, in 2021, he joined Inver Re which later became Price Forbes Re under the Ardonagh Group in 2024, where he held the role of Head of Group Solutions.

Griffiths’ career has spanned the reinsurance and retrocession landscape, with his broking solutions often involving the participation of collateralised sources of capacity, from ILS fund markets and other sources of alternative reinsurance limit.

He also has a track-record in broking parametric risk transfer solutions, with that a particular specialism right through his career and has also worked to assist insurtech companies on strategy and how to access reinsurance capacity efficiently.
