Jireh Risk Advisors Ltd., the insurance-linked securities (ILS) focused solution provider and Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS), an independent insurance manager, have launched OpIngen, which both firms describe as a next-generation operations service tailored for the reinsurance and ILS industry.
As per the announcement, OpIngen integrates proprietary technology, operational expertise, and a new structural model to provide a comprehensive reinsurance operations service.
This initiative comes at a time marked by rising data complexity, an increase in delegated authority, heightened regulatory scrutiny, and a growing need for scalable operational efficiency.
Early into their partnership, the firms jointly launched the Special Purpose Insurer (SPI), Strata ILS Ltd., which is managed by SRS and used for ILS transformer transactions, available exclusively to Jireh and SRS clients.
And now with the launch of OpIngen, both firms are continuing to deliver robust services to the ILS market, as well as the reinsurance industry too.
OpIngen CEO Salvatore Tucci, commented: “Just as capital-light structures reshaped risk transfer, the industry now needs an operational model built for today’s complexity. OpIngen is the evolution of that belief. We combine innovative process design, high-integrity execution, and deep operational insight into a single, service-driven operating model.”
Both firms also noted that OpIngen’s core service, OpInFuse, will provide an operational team that integrates seamlessly into client workflows, which offers the flexibility of outsourcing with the discipline and accountability of an in-house function.
Through the use of Jireh’s proprietary RePort™ technology platform, OpInFuse also possesses the ability to execute and continuously refine cedant, bordereaux, and delegated authority operations with precision, which ultimately reduces oversight needs and elevates overall operational integrity.
“RePort’s bordereaux data ingestion and integration capabilities make high-quality cedant data usable across clients’ systems and analytical tools, turning previously fragmented inputs into a reusable asset that supports better decisions, stronger underwriting discipline, and improved operational performance,” the announcement explained.
OpIngen was developed based on Jireh’s vast operational expertise, where teams recognised that manual processes and disjointed data systems throughout the reinsurance value chain were prone to errors and, equally important, resulted in the loss of crucial cedant data that could enhance the overall reinsurance industry. This insight reportedly drove the development of Jireh’s RePort™ technology platform.
Jireh’s partnership with SRS enables OpIngen to scale this capability globally, with the governance, infrastructure, and credibility required by leading reinsurers and ILS funds.
Jonathan Reiss, Chairman at Strategic Risk Solutions Bermuda, said: “OpIngen provides an operational ecosystem that reinsurers have long needed but never had access to. By combining Jireh’s innovation with SRS’s global reach, governance, and industry trust, we are delivering a modern operating service engine that supports both lean startups and mature organisations.”
Tucci also added: “Reinsurers all want the same outcome – to fix their operations. But technology solutions, even with advances in AI, often miss the mark. This isn’t because the solutions are inherently bad, but because integrating them into complex organizations is hard and technology alone is no panacea for the fractured operational foundations pervasive across the value chain. That’s why OpIngen delivers reinsurance operations as a service, powered by our own technology and operational expertise. Our mission is simple: to provide reinsurers the engine they need to operate with confidence, clarity, and competitive advantage.”
